The Parent Collaborative

The Parent Collaborative is a parenting consultancy.

They work with parents on a 1:1 basis as well as delivering collaborative parenting programmes and workshops. Their goal is to support parents to support their children and to come up with a framework to suit each individual family.

Rebecca Grainzevelles heads up The Parent Collaborative. She trained as a Montessori directress before opening up her own Nursery, The Oval Montessori, in South West London in 1989, which still runs today. She moved to Somerset ten years later where she set up another Montessori setting in the junior department of Perrott Hill School. She combined her teaching with raising four children as well as volunteer work for ChildLine, Home Start and SHOUT. 

The Parent Collaborative was set up in response to there being a lack of parental support for families navigating parenthood.

The Parent Collaborative believes strongly that there is not a one size fits all approach to parenting – all parents bring different strengths to the role and each and every child is unique. However, As Early Years Specialists, they are aware that there is a road map for child development which they know, understand and can also help to explain. As much as there are clear paths through, there are also common pitfalls that can be avoided.
