The Bath Music Festival Club at the Octagon Hosted by Sam?s Kitchen

Sam?s Kitchen founder, Sam Wylde will be collaborating with the 65th Bath International Music Festival to create The Bath Music Festival Club at The Octagon in Milsom Place this summer.

After founding his award-winning deli and café two years ago, Sam is looking to bring his relaxed, inexpensive and delicious philosophy to the centre of the city with his latest collaboration.

Ken Elliot, Director of Milsom Place said, "This is a joint venture between Milsom Place and Bath International Music Festival and is being brought to life by Sam's Kitchen in a unique collaboration with local businesses and artists.

"It forms part of our process to find a place for the Octagon in the increasingly vibrant retail, dining and cultural scene of North Bath's Milsom area."

The Bath Music Festival Club with Sam’s Kitchen at The Octagon, seating 60, will be a lively, licensed full service venue from 22^nd May until the end of June.

From morning pastries and coffee at 10.00 am to candlelit suppers and live music performances throughout the day until midnight, the venue promises to be a great new gathering place.

Alasdair Nicolson, Artistic Director of the Music Festival says, “For me, music is a social activity and as well as the concerts, cabaret and opera I wanted to bring this new idea of a club to the Festival in order to allow performers and audiences to have the opportunity to meet one another, to talk about what they’ve just heard and seen, to savour some local acoustic music and to enjoy fine food and drink. This collaboration provides a wonderful “hub” for the whole festival experience and a place for our artists and audiences to unwind.”

Sam’s local suppliers include: The Wild Beer Company, Westcombe Cheddar, Clifton Coffee, Ivy House Farm at Beckington and cider and charcuterie from his own family farm in Frome.

Sam Wylde says, “I like to use local suppliers who share my passion for high quality food. My essential ingredients are noise, colour, bustle and theatre and best of all having people around me eating delicious, simple fare in an informal way, just like having a dinner party in your own home."

The Bath Music Festival Club at the Octagon Hosted by Sam’s Kitchen will take place from May 22nd– June 30th 2013.
