1000 Children Will Take Part in Bath Abbey Carol Service
There are to be two carol services in Bath Abbey in which over 1000 children from across Bath and North East Somerset will be involved in on Monday December 7.
The first service will take place at 10.30am, and the second will be at 2pm.
These services have been organised by Bath & North East Somerset Council’s music service. The Council’s Vice Chairman, Cllr Alan Hale will attend the morning service and the Chairman Cllr Ian Gilchrist the afternoon service. Both services are open to the public.
They are to include carols with musical interludes from some of the schools as well as some brand new carols written by Tim Parker, vocal coordinator for the Music Service. Carols will be accompanied by an ensemble made up of music service staff and of course the Bath Abbey organ.
In addition to this there will be a Christmas Memorial Service on Sunday December 13, at 3pm in the Top Chapel at Haycombe Cemetery.
This is a chance for people to remember their loved ones at Christmas; attendees will be invited to message on a tag and place on the Christmas tree or light a candle.
