Heal’s brings design legacy to historic Bath
Iconic British furniture retailer Heal’s opens new Bath store on historic Milsom Street.
The opening marks Heal’s first permanent store outside of London since 2017, demonstrating a commitment to bricks-and-mortar retail in one of Britain’s most design-conscious cities.
To celebrate, Heal’s hosted a launch event with interiors authority Michelle Ogundehein joining Heal’s CEO, Hamish Mansbridge, as the special guest for the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
The newest destination for timeless design, contemporary living and showcase of quality craftsmanship,
the multi-floor store experience, covering almost 3,500 sq. ft, has been carefully curated to showcase Heal’s own-brand designs as well as dedicated areas to experience iconic furniture brands including, Vitra, HAY, Ligne Roset, Tom Dixon. Bespoke to Heal’s, customers can also access the company’s expert Interiors Planning Service within the store, with the tailored service covering everything from personalised
mood boards and planning to delivery and installation.
Reinforcing the brand’s consultative and design-led approach, the new team has undergone specialist Heal’s training, ensuring they are able to offer expert guidance across all brand ranges and products.
Led by the new store manager, George Cox, Heal’s has continued to demonstrate a commitment to the local area, building a team for the store that are all local to Bath, including George, who has lived in the city since a young age.
George Cox, Store Manager at Heal’s Bath, added: “This city has such a strong appreciation for design and heritage, so it feels incredibly special to bring Heal’s to a location with so much character and history.
“It is such a lovely time of year to open and the support we have received so far in the build up to opening has been phenomenal, so to be part of this new chapter of retail for Bath feels really exciting. I am so proud
to be part of this incredible team helping to bring it all to life for our customers and can’t wait for everyone
to come and get to experience the new store.”
Hamish Mansbridge, CEO of Heal’s, said: “Our bricks-and-mortar stores continue to be an integral part of
Heal’s retail experience, enabling our customers to discover and experience some of the most incredible
and prestigious brands and designs, all under one roof.
“Bath’s UNESCO World Heritage status, alongside its thriving retail scene, made it feel like a natural choice
for Heal’s, with our commitment to design and craftsmanship, echoing the city’s legacy of creativity and
architecture. To have a retail space here that our customers can visit and experience the same dedicated
level of service that they have come to expect in our flagship store, is incredibly important to us. And
something we will continue to champion for the furniture retail sector.
“We look forward to becoming part of the Bath community and carving out the future of Heal’s in the region
for years to come.”
