ZARA is coming to SouthGate Bath
Zara is coming to Bath as the city centre prepares itself for a retail reshuffle that could introduce a host of new shops to the area.
Bath residents and shoppers who want to pick up their favourite fashion wares from Zara currently have to make trips to either Swindon or Bristol with the worldwide brand absent from the City’s shopping districts.
That however is all about to change with the space currently occupied by Box Avenue in Bath’s SouthGate set to be changed to Zara.
Formal plans have been submitted to the local council, however the Bath Preservation Trust has raised concerns that must be addressed before work on the new store begins.
The Trust said: ‘We maintain that Southgate should remain a coherent extension to the historic city core to the north.
‘The use of excessive illumination is an increasingly intrusive and jarring addition that serves to further disassociate the Southgate shopping district from its surroundings,’.
The deal to bring Zara may not be rubber-stamped yet, however shoppers can start getting excited about Bath’s shopping scene's latest addition.
