Your Total Guide To eating & drinking
Flavours of Japan at the Hobourne Museum
A celebration of Sake at the Great Bath Feast.
Celebrate World Sake Day in style, with a spectacular sake tasting session in the Ballroom Gallery at The Holburne Museum on Saturday 1st October, 6-8:30pm brought to you by The Great Bath Feast. Experts will talk you through the history of sake, brewing techniques and the social etiquette and culture surrounding the drink.
You will then be guided through seven samples of sake including sweet, sparkling and aged.
The sake you will be tasting is from the Kayashima Brewery, located in Oita in the south of Japan. The Kayashima Brewery’s sake harmonizes the five essential tastes of sweetness, acidity, spiciness, bitterness, and sourness and is based on traditional handmade sake brewing techniques.
Yo! Sushi of Milsom Place will be providing tempting traditional Japanese nibbles throughout the evening.
The evening is another headline event at the Great Bath Feast and has been organised by VisitBath in association with the Beppu Association.
Tickets are £15 per person and include 7 samples of Sake and Yo! Sushi nibbles.
