Clarks Village Christmas Festivities Revealed

Clarks Village has revealed a packed programme of family friendly events in the run up to Christmas, starting with a Christmas Lights Switch On and Illumination Show on Thursday 12 November, to be hosted by Ed, Troy and Paulina from Heart FM.

The Christmas Lights Switch On event, which takes place between 5pm - 9pm, will also include free festive treats for the whole family, Christmas carols and traditional bands, a visit from Father Christmas, late night shopping until 9pm, and extra discounts available in many of the 90 shops.

The event is free to attend and the Rotary Club of Glastonbury and Street will be supporting volunteers from Martha Care to collect donations for the Clarks Village’s O­fficial 2015 Charity Partner.

“We are very much looking forward to Christmas 2015,” explained Lucy Graham, Head of Marketing at Clarks Village. “Last year’s Light Switch On event was a huge success with almost 1,500 people attending to watch the stunning 30ft Somerset-grown Christmas tree lit up with over 60,000 lights, and this year it is going to be even bigger and even better, with an amazing illumination show and a couple of surprises thrown in too.

“The Christmas events don’t stop there - Black Friday Weekend, which takes place Friday 27 to Sunday 9 November, will feature even bigger discounts than usual and is sure to be highly successful once again. On Saturday 5 December we will hosting the a Christmas Family Event from 11am until 4pm when Heart Angels will be back in the village with festive face painting and children’s activities, plus a live ice sculptor. There will also be the chance to telephone Father Christmas on the magical Santa hotline and to hang Christmas wishes on the tree with one lucky child’s wish being granted!”

The Clarks Village Winter Sale with start Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December.
