Blackwell's Bring New Meaning to Pop-Up Books

City of Bath College Student Chloe Green headed down to Blackwell's to find out more about their festive pop-up store in the Southgate Centre.

As a business Blackwell's bookshops are known for their academic literature but this Christmas they are bringing something new to the brand.

From Friday the 21st of November 2013 to Tuesday the 24th of December 2013 a Blackwell's pop-up shop will be opening on Southgate Street in Bath. Keeping the traditional Blackwell's quality the pop up shop is bringing you a quirky festive feel which promises to help you stock up on your stocking fillers or Christmas gifts.

The shop is a Christmas orientated gift shop that will be selling Christmas gifts such as bestselling books for the older readers and many children’s books. There will also be memorabilia such as Moomin and the Gruffalo character as well as some beautiful art books.

Upon the shops there will be a very special window display designed by children’s book illustrator Sarah Warburton that is a must see to the shop.  

"The pop up shop will be the first time Blackwell's has come to Bath and upon their arrival Blackwell's are making it well known that they are not wanting to “compete or steal business from the other bookshops in Bath” said Jess the pop up shops manager, they are instead trying to bring a festive feel to the Blackwell's brand.
