Men's Autumn/Winter Fashion '13

With the changing of seasons comes a change in fashion. To help you get into the right fashion frame of mind this Autumn/Winter, we've put together a selection of our favourite seasonal must-haves.

Biker Jacket

The epitome of cool; the leather biker jacket has proven to be a staple garment in men's wardrobes season after season. Perfect for the transitional period between summer and autumn, this true menswear classic is a piece well worth investing in.

We wouldn't go as far to say 'black is back' because it never really strayed too far from our lives but it's certainly 'in vogue' once again this season.

We've layered this charcoal biker jacket with a Serge DeNimes vest and kangaroo hoody for a sleek and stylish autumnal look.

Emerald Green

After being picked as Pantone's 2013 Colour of the Year, emerald green is set to be a massive men's colour trend during A/W13.

There are a number of ways to integrate emerald into your wardrobe, but we decided to keep things simple and base our look around a green cord shirt.  The key to this trend is to keep the rest of your outfit fairly neutral - avoiding a colour overload. For best results, subtly inject splashes of emerald into your look with either a statement tee, jacket or trousers.

Although pops of colour will ensure that you stand out on a dreary day, unseasonably bright colours aren't exactly easy to wear, they take confidence and courage to pull off.

Bomber Jacket

Forget bulky winter coats, this autumn is all about the neat bomber for men.

The bomber jacket has quickly become one of the most sought after menswear pieces of autumn/winter. Whether playing it safe in a preppy block colour or pushing the boundaries in floral, Topman, River Island and Burton have plenty of options for chaps to choose from.

This particular look has been styled with a sweatshirt and snap-back for an on-trend varsity look, think American football, staple sportswear inspired pieces and canvas hightops that exude a 1980's U.S college vibe.

Polo Necks

Polo necks are an essential piece of knitwear for A/W 13. Layer up under a tailored blazer and accessorise with a chunky scarf for the ultimate cold-snap solution.

We've teamed this thick knit with a well-fitted pair of dark jeans and a solid pair of dessert boots to achieve an effortless cool smart/casual look.

This season one of the safest colours to wear is grey, but if you're planning on wearing it from head-to-toe as seen on the catwalk, ensure that you pick contrasting hues and patterns.

Plaid

The traditional check has been given an upgrade.

Reminiscent of the 90s inspired looks that we've seen in previous seasons - a classic plaid shirt thrown over stone-washed denim is always a winning combination.

We've been bold and paired this blue check shirt, with a yellow mac and burgundy knitwear for maximum impact.
