Bath Launches a Brand New Virtual Festive Trail

Let the Magic Begin as Bath's Christmas shopping spots get even more festive!

Christmas is the time of year that brings a hoard of visitors to the streets of Bath in all their festive finery. Expect some even more festive fun this year as a new photo app that enables you to capture shots of the traditional city.  Zooming in on your friends can take you by surprise as there may something else in shot that may just appear, as if by magic!

There are six chosen locations that will be photo stops around the city, directing you to these will be special Bath magical Trail snowman posters (SouthGate, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, Walcot Street, Bartlett Street and  Milsom Street will all have a magical photo spot to strike a pose). Sharing these festive memories with friends and family is what makes Christmas so magical, so use

#BathMagicalTrail to spread a little joy this season.  Jonathan O’Shea from the Bath Business Improvement District who have funded the new App explained “this is such an important time of year for Bath retailers.  The objective of the magical trail is to encourage locals and visitors to get out and shop and have some fun along the way.”

Desperate to find some special gifts for your loved ones this year, Bath is the place to visit. To find hidden treasures, The Magical Trail encourages you to step off the beaten track, and explore the side streets. Here are you will discover more unusual and unique gifts in Baths independent stores as well as your favourite brands. Bath retailers are always ready with helpful advice and suggestions and are renowned for their friendly service. 

Bath is one of the best cities to find unique gifts, for example stores like Shannon on Walcot Street with its Scandinavian ceramics, moose blankets and Moomin inspired gifts, artisan home wares at Article on Bartlett Street or top quality leather bags by Liz Cox in Margaret Buildings.

On the flipside, there are also famous and well-loved brands such as Anthropologie, Cath Kidston and the White Company are stacked with gift ideas for every age.
